The Dingle Peninsula stretches 50 kilometres into the Atlantic on the southwest coast of Ireland, and it is arguably the most beautiful place in the country that most first-time visitors never reach. While the Cliffs of Moher and the Ring of Kerry attract the larger crowds, Dingle rewards those who make the extra effort. The road around Slea Head is as dramatic as anything in Ireland - narrow, winding, and spectacular. Dingle town is small, unpretentious, and full of excellent seafood and traditional music. Shannon Transfers operates private Dingle Peninsula tours from Shannon Airport and Limerick City.
Top Attraction
Limerick City is approximately 2 hours from Dingle via the N21 through Tralee. Shannon Transfers regularly operates the Limerick to Dingle route - either as a direct transfer or as a full-day accompanied tour with stops along the way. If you are based in Limerick and want to see Dingle, a private tour is the most comfortable and practical option available.
The return journey - Dingle to Limerick - is equally well-covered. Early morning hotel pickups available for Limerick-based guests.

The Dingle Peninsula and the Ring of Kerry are both in County Kerry and are natural companion tours over two days. We recommend our Ring of Kerry private tour on day one from Killarney, and the Dingle Peninsula on day two - or the reverse depending on where you are staying. Shannon Transfers can arrange both days together.
Tour Overview

Approximately 2 hours 15 minutes - around 159 kilometres via the N18 through Limerick and south into Kerry.
They are different experiences. The Ring of Kerry is more expansive and varied; Dingle is more intimate and dramatic. If you have time for only one, the Ring of Kerry covers more ground. If you can do both, Dingle on a second day is deeply worth it.
You can - but Connor Pass and Slea Head Drive are narrow, steep, and require confidence on left-hand single-track roads. After a long-haul flight and with luggage in the car, most visitors find a private driver significantly less stressful.
Yes. The peninsula is quieter in winter, which has its own appeal - the scenery is just as dramatic, the roads are uncrowded, and the pubs are more welcoming. Shannon Transfers operates year-round.
Allow approximately 2 hours for the full circuit with stops - more if you want to explore the clochan sites or spend time at the Blasket Islands viewpoint. Your driver will pace it around what interests you.
